About Tree-Ripe

Tree-Ripe began in 1990 under the name Tree-Ripe Citrus Co.
Its mission was simple: bring incredibly fresh, farm-direct fruit to the Midwest quickly and affordably.

We became Tree-Ripe Fruit Co. in 2018 to reflect our love of all fruits.

Tree-Ripe remains a third-generation family business.

We are based in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area with hundreds of seasonal Fruit Stops throughout the Upper Midwest and home delivery available to most states.

We start by identifying the regions known for producing the very best version of each fruit. From there, we spend significant time on the ground learning about the growing conditions, the season’s challenges, and the farms themselves.

We meet with multiple growers, tour their operations, and carefully evaluate everything from farming practices to how their teams are treated. And of course, we closely assess the quality and flavor of the fruit they produce.

Only after this thorough process do we choose a partner farm, so we can bring their very best harvests directly to you!

We source fruit from the regions that grow it best, from the Indian River region of Florida to the foothills of Mount Hood in Oregon, and many places in between.

Our current lineup includes premium fruits and nuts from California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon, and Wisconsin. 

Most of our fruit is non-GMO and conventionally grown with the exception of our certified organic Meyer lemons. They are minimally treated only when necessary to protect the crop, and our partner farms work hard to exceed all safe-use standards for any applications. Many of the farms we work with practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a proactive, environmentally sensitive approach to pest control. 

No matter the growing method, we invest significant time researching and selecting farm partners who produce exceptional-tasting fruit while using responsible, sustainable practices for both their land and their teams.

It comes down to ripeness and speed.

Because of our direct-from-farm model, our partner farms can leave fruit on the tree days, sometimes weeks, longer to fully develop natural sugars and flavor. That extra time on the tree is the biggest reason our fruit tastes so much better.

Then we move it quickly. Since we deliver to customers within days of harvest, we don’t have to prioritize long shelf life the way traditional grocery supply chains do. We also avoid extended cold storage whenever possible so you receive fruit that tastes fresher, juicier, and closer to how it was meant to be enjoyed.
