Citrus FAQ

Store citrus in the refrigerator or somewhere cool, but do not let them freeze. Citrus can remain fresh for six to eight weeks.

All citrus we deliver is ripe & ready to eat. Citrus tastes best at room temperature, so let your citrus warm up on the counter before eating!

Absolutely! Everything we sell is backed by our 100% quality guarantee. We’re confident you’ll love what you receive, but if you’re not completely happy, just let us know.

Farming is never without its challenges, and we always want to make it right. Simply email us at [email protected], and we’ll gladly arrange a replacement or refund.

Most of our citrus is non-GMO and grown using conventional farming methods. Our partner farms use minimal treatments to protect their crops and work hard to exceed safety standards for any applications that may be used as a last resort. Many of our growers practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a proactive and environmentally sensitive approach to pest control.

Each spring, we’re proud to offer certified organic Meyer lemons, available for home delivery only.

We carefully research and select the farms we partner with, choosing growers who produce exceptional-tasting fruit while cultivating sustainable practices that care for their land and their teams, whether organic or conventional.

Our spring lineup comes from sunny California! We proudly partner with Suntreat Citrus, a family-founded company with over 60 years in the citrus industry. Founded by brothers Harry and John Griffith, Suntreat began with a farm and nursery and has grown into an exceptional citrus-growing operation rooted in quality and care.

Our certified organic Meyer lemons are lovingly grown by Dickinson Family Farms in Southern California.

You can order spring citrus for Home Delivery through our online shop, or visit us at one of our in-person fruit stops! Check our schedule to find your hometown location, date, and time.

We pack in oversized boxes on purpose as it helps protect your fruit during transit. Even if it doesn’t look packed to the brim, you’re still getting the full amount of fruit you ordered. If you have concerns about quantity, please reach out via our contact form or email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help.

Strawberry FAQ

A flat has about 11-12 lbs of strawberries, typically 8 quarts or 12 pints. It is perfect for freezing, baking, or sharing. A half flat will be about 5-6 lbs of strawberries, about 4 quarts or 6 pints.

Our strawberries are from Wish Farms in Plant City, Florida.

Strawberries are hand-picked and harvested when they are fully ripe and ready to enjoy for the best flavor and sweetness. Strawberries are picked and packed in the field. They do not ripen further after they are picked.

It’s best to only wash berries right before eating. Extra moisture shortens shelf life. Your berries will be fresher and last longer if you rinse them under cool water just prior to eating.

If you aren’t enjoying them all right away, refrigerate in the original container or a breathable, shallow one once you get them home. However, do not wash until ready to eat.

Fresh, farm-picked strawberries are best within 1–3 days. Because they are picked ripe and contain no preservatives, they are highly perishable.

Refrigerate immediately and remove any soft berries right away. One overripe berry can affect the others quickly. Our strawberries are picked fully ripe and contain no preservatives. Because of that, they are more delicate and best enjoyed quickly.

Color variation is natural and does not affect flavor. Strawberries will vary in appearance. Berry color and hue can vary based on the variety, the weather, and harvest timing. They are not enhanced or artificially colored.

Size can vary naturally depending on weather and growing conditions or on the variety.

Yes. Rinse gently, remove the stems, dry thoroughly, and freeze in a single layer before transferring to a freezer bag.

We offer both reservations and walk-up purchasing. We recommend reserving during peak season to guarantee availability.

Unfortunately no, as they are too fragile to ship. Strawberries will be sold exclusively in-person at the truck.

Our strawberries are non-GMO, non-organic, and minimally treated to protect crops. Our farms work very hard to exceed the standards for safe application of any pesticides and only do it as a last resort. Many of our farms practice integrated pest management (IPM), which takes a proactive approach that relies on common sense and environmentally-sensitive pest management practices.

We spend a great deal of time and research in selecting the farms that we work with, making sure that we can find the right partner that not only produces great tasting fruit but also cultivates sustainable practices for their land and team members whether organic or conventional.
