On the fence...

I have struggled to leave this because I am torn both ways. The citrus itself is phenomenal; lemons are very sweet yet still tart, not something you'd find in any Walmart around here in MS. And the oranges are just so juicy. Darker in color, but almost double the juicy flavor than a traditional orange. I've used what I could from my order thus far to make spices, juice concentrate, and a few other things - everything has been wonderful. When my box FIRST arrived, I initially only lost 1 of each - a lemon and an orange - from being in transit. I took them out of the box, wiped off any moisture, and left them in a climate controlled area while we went out of town. I came back 3 days later and lost 1/3 of my oranges to mold and about 1/4 of my lemons. I am very doubtful it was entirely from my environment simply because I lysol-ed the entire counter down before I laid them out to dry. Was very disappointed. Salvaged what I could but since then there has been a handful of them that have molded too quickly in my opinion. Once I get down to the last one, I will have only used about half of what was shipped to me - which makes me so sad because they are both wonderful products. Also: the entire time they've been in my possession they have had/kept a white film (even after soaking)---looks like a baking-soda type material. I had one batch that I let soak in hot baking soda water briefly before using, and when I removed the fruit - the water had fragments of a film-like material. I'm assuming/hoping since this is an organic producer/order, it has something to do with that and not related to being a pesticide or harmful film of any sort. However long since my order, I think two weeks, I still have about 8 oranges left and 3 lemons that have held up. I would recommend this provider to anyone because I feel the cost is worth the product amount and quality you get. I, however, didn't have the best experience simply because I lost a good portion of what I got to mold too quickly.
