Mountain Rose Apple Pie

This recipe features our Oregon Mountain Rose apples available every fall. This pie is extra special because of the gorgeous pink and red flesh! 🍎


Pie Crust

(This recipe is for a single pie crust, double the recipe for this pie 🥧)


  • 5-6 medium Mountian Rose apples peeled, cored and sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • pinch of salt


  1. Prepare pie crust.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°
  3. Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt in large bowl.
  4. Roll out bottom pie crust, and to pie plate and fill pie with apple filling. Roll out top crust, add to pie and crimp edges. Cut four 2-inch slits in top of dough.
  5. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes, lower temperature to 325° and continue for another 25-30 minutes until filling is bubbling and crust is golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 2 hours.
  7. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
