Mountain Rose Apple Pie

This recipe features our Oregon Mountain Rose apples available every fall. This pie is extra special because of the gorgeous pink and red flesh! 🍎
Ingredients
Pie Crust
(This recipe is for a single pie crust, double the recipe for this pie 🥧)
Filling
- 5-6 medium Mountian Rose apples peeled, cored and sliced thin
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare pie crust.
- Preheat oven to 400°
- Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt in large bowl.
- Roll out bottom pie crust, and to pie plate and fill pie with apple filling. Roll out top crust, add to pie and crimp edges. Cut four 2-inch slits in top of dough.
- Bake at 400° for 25 minutes, lower temperature to 325° and continue for another 25-30 minutes until filling is bubbling and crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for 2 hours.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
